Capacitan a brigadistas para la temporada de conatos de este año.
2.5 millones de hectáreas de selva de Quintana Roo estarán en riesgo durante la Temporada de Incendios Forestales.

Son aproximadamente 2.5 millones de hectáreas de selva de Quintana Roo que estarán en riesgo durante la Temporada de Incendios Forestales 2016, por lo cual desde ahora se capacita a los brigadistas, además, de que se proyecta presupuesto de 38 millones de pesos para el combate de deflagraciones, señaló el gerente de la Comisión Nacional Forestal (Conafor) en Quintana Roo, Rafael León Negrete.
De acuerdo al funcionario, la Temporada de Incendios Forestales 2016 iniciará el 1 de marzo y finalizará el 30 de mayo, período en el cual las temperaturas son las más elevadas del año.
El gerente de la Conafor en Quintana Roo indicó que desde ahora ya se capacita a los jefes de brigadas, para que en su momento cuenten con las herramientas para el manejo y combate de deflagraciones.
León Negrete reconoció que existen 2.5 millones de hectáreas de selva, entre mediana y alta, que estarán en riesgo de incendios forestales, pues en ellas se ubican puntos de calor y que favorecen a este tipo de siniestros.
Por eso del presupuesto de aproximadamente 200 millones de pesos proyectados para el ejercicio 2016 de la Gerencia de la Conafor en Quintana Roo, 38 millones de pesos se destinarán para la prevención y combate a incendios forestales.
Actualmente se han integrado 43 brigadas con 10 elementos cada una de ellas, de las cuales 16 se ubican en el municipio Othón P. Blanco, 16 en Bacalar, cinco en Tulum, tres en Benito Juárez y tres en Lázaro Cárdenas.
Por las condiciones climatológicas pronosticadas se espera una temporada activa en el 2015, por lo que ya se iniciaron los trabajos de prevención y concientización a los productores a fin de eviten hacer quemas en sus milpas, fuera del calendario, mismo que se dará a conocer en los próximos días juntos con diversos puntos de la Ley Estatal de Quemas.
