Recaen las ventas por Expofer
Los comerciantes y el sector gastronómico de Chetumal perderán hasta un 60 por ciento de sus ventas durante la segunda quincena de octubre y los primeros días de noviembre, ante la apertura de la Expofer, consideró la presidenta de la Canaco local, Ligia Sierra Aguilar.
Esta disminución de ventas y operaciones deriva de la preferencia que el turismo proveniente de Belice, tiene hacia actividades recreativas diferentes a las que se ofrecen cada semana en la capital.
Por ello desde le cámara de comercio se estima que la avenida de los Héroes o el bulevar Bahía, si bien no disminuirán en sus ventas ordinarias, si dejaran de tener la derrama económica de los beliceños, que significa un 60 por ciento de sus operaciones y ventas. (Por Mayra Cervera)
