A cambio de mochadas, inversionistas destruyen dunas y manglares.

Las denuncias ciudadanas solo han servido a la Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente (Profepa), para saber dónde están los daños ecológicos, ubicar el lugar y clausurar, para luego cobrar millonarias multas y que sigan los descomunales ecocidios, y es que a decir de Javier Flores, presidente de la Asociación de Profesionistas de Tulum, en la costa de Punta Piedra, Sian Ka’an y Parque Nacional Tulum, ninguna autoridad de cualquier orden de gobierno hace valer las leyes ambientales, esas que son pisoteadas por los inversionistas extranjeros y nacionales que son los principales destructores de las dunas y manglares.
“A cambio de ‘jugosas mochadas’, funcionarios públicos del sector ecológico, de los tres niveles de gobierno, principalmente, el director de Desarrollo Urbano y Ecología de Tulum, William Fernández Contreras, permiten que se acaben esos refugios naturales que se localizan en la zona de Punta Piedra y Parque Nacional Tulum.
En el Parque Nacional Tulum y zona costera de Punta Piedra, están los manglares que albergan miles de especies de organismos por hectárea y en aras del desarrollo turístico se sacrifican hectáreas de estos ecosistemas para la construcción de hoteles; “¿dónde está la Profepa y demás autoridades?”, cuestionó Javier Flores.
“Sobre estos que está pasando, es evidente que la corrupción aquí sienta sus reales, pues las construcciones aniquilan los manglares y, con el fin de construir sus estructuras, corrompen a funcionarios”, denunció el ambientalista, Bonifacio Loría Pacheco.
